H.C. Andersen centret

One hundred years ago, on May 8, 1835, there was published in Copenhagen a mean-looking pamphlet, badly printed on poor paper, and bound betweenmiserably thin blue paper covers. Its author and publisher were faint-hearted about their enterprise. ... It is pleasant to record taht England was one of the countries which first helped Andersen to catch his goldfish.
