About the Gallery of Illustrations
The illustrations have been a matter that we have wanted to improve for a while, but it has been hard to find the time for it. Even though Andersen did not illustrate his writings himself, the illustrations make a difference in the perception of the works.The forthcoming of the Polish children's illustrations turned out to be the occasion that was needed to change this. We intend to let other collections follow this first one, one each year on Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, as well as some collections of the more well-known illustrator's works.
