Thursday [July 8, 1847].

Dear Mr. Andersen,

I trouble you with this to say that I must see you. It is of consequence that you come to me. I called on you yesterday and found you out. I must therefore beg of you to come here by 12 o'clock tomorrow, as I have much to say to you which is important to us both.

You know that I am your sincere friend, that I have made you known in England and have always written of you most kindly and hononrable; you must therefore come and hear what I have to say to you. The Flower Pot, Bishopsgate Street is very near Mr Hambro's and at the Flower Pot you will find Clapton Omnibusses, these wiIl set you down at our door. I beg you will not disappoint me.

I am, dear Mr. Andersen, yours very sincerely,

Mary Howitt

I have written very disinctly because I want you to understand every word of my note.
